Sonnet XVIII

There is a little church beside a field.
I happ'd to pass it by just yesterday.
It truly made me wish this summer's yield.
Would bring me there before you face to face.

The colours in the sky were graceful soft.
In hues of salmon, lavendar and blue.
My head right here, but my heart was aloft.
The only thing 'twas missing there was you.

I wish that we could walk there every day.
We'd talk about today and long ago,
And holding hands we'd joke along the way,
Then laugh until our cheeks were all aglow.

I hope that we can find a moment soon,
To visit there one lovely afternoon.

The sky in the picture is just remarkable, and your poem speaks of longing for a beautiful love!

Your poetry is passionately expressive and the photo is simply beautiful. That sky is amazing.
